Never fear, Sunday Scaries is (almost) here! In collaboration with Coffee Break Entertainment, we're so excited to announce a Musical Celebration coming to Green Room on Sunday, October 27. Join us for a stellar lineup and help us raise money for the Justice for Dave Velk Fund. We can't wait! We're also pumped to be joined by many of our favorite local companies - thank you for celebrating our musical family with us.

Here is the big announcement you've been waiting for: the lineup!

Mike Horvath: Mike Horvath performs original songs and covers using his voice and a looper to construct chords, percussion, and melodies by manipulating vocal samples to create vibrant, high-energy songs right before your eyes. He’s honored to be opening for such talented local artists in the iconic Green Room!

D.C. Leonhardt: Somewhat of a folk traditionalist, D.C. Leonhardt’s live shows are a blend of borrowed and original songs and the stories behind them. His own songs generally focus on labor, love, and religion and the humors and tragedies they bring. His debut album, (roughly), is slated for release in October 2024.

Laura Hugo: Laura Hugo is an Indigenous singer/songwriter from Teec Nos Pos, AZ located in the Navajo Nation. She has used her experiences with grief, mental health and general confusion about her place in the world to write honest and relatable songs.

KIERNAN (solo set): Kiernan is the project of Minneapolis-based musician Laura Kiernan (she/her). Laura hopes her music nourishes your ears like a nice hunk of bread. It’s just like when you’re feeding the pigeons: soft, silly, spacious and best done with friends.

Poison Ivy And The People: Poison Ivy And The People are existential, edgy, and honest. A little grunge for your dreams, with passion and theatricality.

We are so stoked to welcome Poison Ivy And The People as our headliner!

Stay scary out there,

Sarah

Aww shucks I'm blushing! We have some new testimonials to share, and they're too stinking sweet.

"DancingFish has been an incredible fixture in the Mpls music scene. From photos, putting on shows, and just generally connecting/supporting people. They are a prime example of how you can move your community forward in a positive way!" - Alex, Solana and the Sunsets

“Dancing Fish is the Magikarp of the event planning world. It’s flopping around with a pathetic, helpless look on its face, but someday it will evolve into Gyarados.” - Josh, A Sunken Ship Irony (Seriously, though, thank you for all you do for the music community).

“Sarah knows when a great moment is about to happen. Always ready with her camera, she captures the emotions that connect the community in times of celebration and artistic expression. Passionate about documenting and broadcasting everything that makes Minneapolis positively unique, Sarah and DancingFish Events are an important part of our community.” - Marty, Producer, Mixer, Audio Engineer

“I’ve been impressed with the contributions Sarah and DancingFish Events make to the music scene in Minneapolis/Saint Paul. They uplift the work and voices of many twin cities musicians through their photography and social media presence.” - Emmy Woods, Musician

Thank you all, you're a pleasure to work with!
